2017 The Bear and the Bees

Our special reserve wine honors the bear who occasionally visits our vineyards and our bees who thrive happily just out of his reach. Rooted in our specific (may we say magical?) terroir, this is a wine which embraces the intricate dance of the wildlife on our Estate.

THE BEAR and THE BEES from the 2017 vintage emerges from the glass with alluring notes of black cherry, dark chocolate, cedar and sweet tobacco spice.  The entry is smooth and expansive, enveloping the palate with notes of black plum, Mission fig and warm baking spices.  A subtle acidity lifts and brightens the darker aromatics with hints of cherry candy and citrus zest.  Velvety tannins add nuance and grace to the palate, leading to a rich, expressive finish.  This wine benefits from time in the glass, allowing the aromatic nuances to unfold at their own pace. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
